Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in power within the city.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season follow below.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
This warrior group features Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.
This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
First, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The traitor then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a hostile location.
- The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the team enter locations they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, Teor swore a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:
- The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The healer turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This results in them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
